By the end of Section 2 of the Learn 3D Modelling – The Complete Blender Creator Course we end up putting together a neat Mayan pyramid, and having a chance to build any three additional models of our choosing.
The goal of Section 2, Lecture 39: Extra Modelling Challenges was to continue practicing the Blender fundamentals presented so far, including scaling, extrusion, edge loops, loop cuts, and subdivisions. I started with this simple tombstone, but I couldn’t figure out the best way to model its top part to my liking.
This short sword was fun and relatively easy to put together using as a guide a low poly reference I found.
And, the following barrel was my first try at a cylindrical-style model, and involved mostly a lot of extrusion and scaling.
