Time to cross off this from my bucket list! This time it is learning 3D modeling with the help of a Udemy course titled Learn 3D Modelling – The Complete Blender Creator Course. This course is pretty long, and as an incentive for me to keep things rolling I want to record my first ever done-from-scratch 3D model.
This plane model is my work for the Create a “Block” Plane challenge from the course’s Section 2, Lecture 26: Extruding In Blender. I used a couple of wood toy plane photos as references for what I had in mind, and started with the default single Blender cube mesh. After a few hours of adding, tweaking, cloning, and joining meshes, I am proud to call this boxy plane my first 3D child. 🙂
